May Beauty Favourites

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter

After our holiday in April I had really dry flaky skin (gross, I know) so I was so happy to get home to buy myself a big tub of Clinique Deep Comfort Body Butter. I first got this as a present for my birthday last year and loved it so the slightly more expensive price tag didn’t put me off. A little goes a long way, it soaks in super quick and banishes bad dry patches within days. My post holiday tan was all the better for it too - next time I will be bringing the tub with me. If you want amazing skin nourishment then Deep Comfort Body Butter is the way to go.

Estée Lauder Double Wear

This has been my go to foundation for the last decade, or longer even, I remember robbing my Mum’s when I was in my teens and really didn’t need foundation at all. It has the most amazing coverage ever and lasts so well it really suits my daily needs, when the girls I work with are reapplying their foundation after work I am already propped at the bar vino in hand, my bottle of Double Wear at home on my dressing table. I only need one layer of this over primer and for lighter coverage sometimes I just mix some with my moisturiser. Estée Lauder also do a light version which is good but I prefer the full coverage and mixing it with moisturiser does the same thing.

La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5

Well this one sounds pretty technical but basically La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 is just an awesome little moisturiser suitable for anything from baby’s bums to your face. I personally use it on my face but I have had good reports from my sister-in-law about the baby bum side of things too. My Mum introduced me to this gem when I was home last month and I have been hooked ever since. For £6.50 it is a real heavy weight in the balm/moisturiser arena. I have just been using it at night instead of my usual night cream and the result is super quenched skin every morning. Result.

Sally Hanson Complete Manicure Nail Polish

I got given these fab nail polishes from the lovely people at Sally Hanson and I must say I am an absolute convert. I have used Sally Hanson Insta Dry for years now but never any of her coloured polishes. The berry shade 'Wine Not' is my absolute favourite, I am a dark varnish advocate but this one lasted way longer than any others I have. I'd even go as far as to say it lasted longer than a manicure would. 7 days and counting, not a single chip, just some regrowth but how amazing is that? I can’t wait to get some more colours.
